The Cherrybomb, also known as the Firebush or Gunpowder Plant and referred to in-code as the Firecracker Plant, is a plant featuring numerous small, red berries along a central black stem. It serves as a weak, non-lethal explosive.

When thrown, the berries activate after a brief delay, producing a series of small but loud explosions. Each berry's explosion deals no direct damage but deafens all hearing creatures in its radius, stuns most smaller creatures in the radius, including Slugcat, and temporarily scares and disorients larger creatures such as Lizards. Additionally, the explosions generated by them can ignite other explosives, and vice versa.

Alongside the last berry exploding, the Cherrybomb itself creates a small explosion. This explosion does 0.1 damage to creatures caught in its epicenter; however, its radius is very small, leading to damage rapidly falling off. While it is possible to use for movement, the possibility of berry explosions stunning Slugcat beforehand and the small radius of the explosion make this unreliable.

Cherrybombs may be used in trade with Scavengers, though their value is quite low.

  • The size and number of berries on a Cherrybomb varies between individual plants. The number of berries varies between 6 and 12.
