Gooieducks are edible objects primarily found in Subterranean and Outer Expanse. They can be eaten or used to repel Worm Grass. They hang from thread-like roots from ceilings and are a light blue color.
Function
Food
Gooieducks are a nourishing and abundant food source. When eaten, they fill 2 food pips Hunter and Artificer). Unlike other edible objects, which can be eaten immediately, Gooieducks must first be 'popped' by holding before Slugcat can eat them.
(½ of a food pip asRepelling Worm Grass
Gooieducks repel Worm Grass, a behavior that can be observed when throwing a Gooieduck into a patch of Worm Grass. Slugcat may use this to their advantage by holding a Gooieduck while moving through Worm Grass to repel it, although this is largely inconsistent when walking upright and may result in death in thick patches. Gooieducks provide the best protection against Worm Grass when crawling, preventing death entirely with just a single Gooieduck in hand. Crawling through Worm Grass this way requires caution and patience, and turning around can result in death. Worm Grass "freezes" and stops trying to grab Slugcat under these circumstances.

Trivia
- When detached from the ceiling or collided with, they produce the same humming noise as Lantern Mice.
- Gooieducks have a higher trading value to Scavengers in Farm Arrays, worth a 2 in value instead of 1 in other regions.
- Looks to the Moon describes Gooieducks as a mold with spores that give off an overwhelming odor.
- Gooieducks expand and contract, as if 'breathing'.
