Thanks, Andrew.
Inv is a Slugcat who has also been officially referred to as ???, Enot, Paincat, Sofanthiel, and Gorbo. They are a secret, non-canon Slugcat exclusive to the More Slugcats Expansion. Their campaign features a variety of changes which make the game incredibly difficult, such as a large number of aggressive creatures, shelter failures every cycle, and reworked regions with unique gimmicks.
Inv can be accessed by solving the riddle in the #Enot Riddle thread on the Rain World Discord.
For the main Slugcats page, see Slugcat.
Unlocking
Inv has a unique unlock method, requiring the player to solve a riddle. Inv can be unlocked as long as the More Slugcats Expansion is enabled regardless of whether the player has completed any other campaigns.
The main 4 riddles provided by the More Slugcats team are:
- "Chant His name upon 7 or 8 inscribed bricks of a pillar"
- "His name can be found in the door of the desert"
- "It does not matter whenever the door is opened, closed or passed through. The lock is the key and the key is the means."
- "Do as you have done before, give it a name"
It is recommended for players to solve the riddles themselves, as it gives insight into Inv's origins and is the intended way to unlock them. However, the solution is preserved below for ease of access.

Type "sofanthiel" or "sofantheil" while in the main menu. The word "Sofanthiel" is found as graffiti in Metropolis around an eastern Shelter near a bunch of train cars. On console, Type "Sofanthiel" in Morse code. “... --- ..-. .- -. - .... .. . .-..” (Left side trigger for dot and right side trigger for dash)
Food
12 food pips are required to hibernate, and none can be stored for the next cycle.
Opening
Inv does not have an intro cutscene. They start the game crouched down, sheltering from pre-cycle rain in Memory Crypts, with a reskinned Singularity Bomb at their side.

Area: Shaded Citadel (Memory Crypts)
General Changes
- Every cycle, Inv spawns with a Singularity Bomb, which is reskinned after AndrewFM's profile picture, the Eggzer0, and has different particle effects.
- This does not replace any existing Singularity Bombs, meaning that if one is not used when Inv hibernates, they have two the following cycle.
- Some sound effects are changed, notably sounds where Inv is hurt, being replaced with loud, human-like grunts. The "game over" sound effect is replaced with AndrewFM saying either "game over, gamer", "good night, gamer", "good bye, gamer", or "rest in peace, gamer".
- An Applebread voice clip plays after waiting on the main menu for a short period.
- Much of the non-in-game music is altered. Specifically, this occurs on the main menu, all tracks played in Arena mode, Random Gods in Five Pebbles, and the music in the Ending part. The music in these sections is dynamically slowed down.
- Due to a bug, the Ascension achievement cannot currently be unlocked as Inv.
- All Slugpups that spawn are reskinned with the level editor Big Head displayed on their faces. These Slugpups behave as normal but generate an explosion similar to that of a Singularity Bomb on death.
- A Singularity Bomb is spawned where the Slugpup died after the effect finishes.
- Slugpups spawn even if they have not been unlocked on the save file.
- Slugpups spawn every cycle, regardless of the player's current number of slugpups
- Inv can eat from slain creatures for half their normal food pips, like Gustumanto.
- Inv can maul creatures by holding Artifikisto. while holding them, like

World Changes
- Shelter failures occur 100% of the time, even on cycle 0.
- This gives a tremendously long time between cycles that can be taken advantage of.
- Most regions accessible to any Slugcat have had major changes to make them harder, sillier, more unfair, or any combination of the three.
- Many of these regions have had their names changed as well.
- Many instances of graffiti that are normally found around the world have been replaced with different art, some being previously unused and some completely new.
- Active Daddy Long Legs have an alternate form enabled, making them appear identical to Mother Long Legs. However, they have 800 health instead of 1600, and they retain the weakness to explosions of Daddy Long Legs.
Region Specific Changes
we forgot to render this one sorry (Outskirts)
- All rendering and shading have been turned off, making everything look red and flat.
- Has a much higher quantity of enemies, most of which are Red Lizards and Red Centipedes.
Industrial Complex
- Filled with a large amount of Train Lizards, a Lizard species exclusive to Inv's campaign.
Painage System (Drainage System)
- Snails spawn randomly and create lethal explosions rather than their typical shockwaves.
- Large quantities of Red Centipedes lurk the area.
Chimney Canopy
- A Yeek spawns whenever Inv leaves a pipe.
- Inv has greatly reduced jump height, and jumping instantly exhausts them. Stamina can be recovered by being still. Yeeks allow for unhindered jumping and are necessary for traversal.
- Inv can jump normally in certain crucial areas, like shelters.
Nachos Will Never Be The Same (Garbage Wastes)
- Water is replaced with lethal orange acid.
- This could previously softlock the game, as the water that spawns in precycle Shelters (excluding the two close to the Industrial Complex gate) instantly killed Inv upon waking up. The issue was fixed by entirely removing precycles from the region.
- Garbage Worms can also be killed by this acid.
- The foreground is much darker, while the background has a bright orange filter placed over it.
Shaded Citadel
- Relatively unchanged aside from the global increase in powerful enemy spawning.
TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBS (Pipeyard)
- A pulsing rainbow overlay is placed over the foreground and background.
Andrew's Basement
- This subregion is exclusive to Inv and features a dead end with graffiti depicting the More Slugcats Expansion team.
Moist (Sump Tunnel)
- This subregion is renamed but has no other changes.
Shoreline
- Water is flipped upside-down, causing controls in water to be reversed and creature AI to break.
- This currently is not working, and water works normally.
Looks to the Moon
- Green electricity effects happen randomly around the screen.
- Many objects that would normally be found in Five Pebbles can be found.
- Looks to the Moon is unconscious, similarly to how Ĉasisto finds her in their campaign.
Sky Islands
- Has had many changes to it to make it similar to the Unfortunate Development of Five Pebbles.
- Proto Long Legs can be found on many surfaces.
- Gravity changes on and off at sections near the Communications Array.
- If Inv is in a room affected by the gravity disruptor and reaches the edge of a screen, they are teleported to the other side of the room, making it so they cannot float away infinitely.
- This also allows the player to skip certain obstacles by teleporting to the other side of the screen.
- Many objects from Five Pebbles have been placed around the region.
- Electric zones can occasionally be found on various objects in the region, including certain set pieces and platforms.
Communications Array
- Has a moderate amount of Slime Mold.
- Proto Rot are more prevalent in this subregion.
- The gravity disruptor that is causing the change in gravity can be found at the apex.
Farm Arrays
- Worm Grass is far more plentiful. Almost every room is littered with grass in very large amounts, and certain pipes and tunnels have dense patches. Standing still in most places means death.
The Exterior
- Electric zones, similar to the zappers inside of Five Pebbles (Recursive Transform Array), can be found scattered around the region, killing Inv and non-Rot creatures on contact. Several platforms and walls are affected.
- Proto Long Legs are found in incredibly high quantities.
- Slime Mold, Flashbangs, and Mushrooms are plentiful.
Tower of Gains (The Leg)
- This subregion is much darker, similar to Shaded Citadel.
Uberhang (Underhang)
- This subregion is much darker, similar to Shaded Citadel.
The Wall
- Made impossible to climb up without a large amount of Lancos to stick into walls by Proto Long Legs.
- It is recommended that the player bring a Grappling Worm to traverse this section.
- The foreground is much darker, while the background has a blue color.
Five Pebbles
- All gravity effects have been disabled in most rooms.
- Large amounts of yellow water as well as Bubble Weed are found wherever there is no gravity, allowing Inv to progress without anti-gravity.
- The threat of rain is still present in the region, and only areas starting from General Systems Bus and higher are safe from it.
Unfortunate Development
- Water quickly fills and empties in some rooms, simulating the typical alternation of gravity found in the subregion.
- Later parts of the subregion have the water removed in favor of the normal alternating gravity effects.
Memory Conflux
- In some rooms, anti-gravity is present as normal in Five Pebbles.
General Systems Bus
- Water is completely removed from the subregion, making it almost identical to the General Systems Bus found in most other campaigns.
- The background track ("Random Gods") is slowed and pitched down.
- Five Pebbles has new dialogue, and his room is considerably darker.

"Hello creature. You've come at the perfect time." "The solution has been found." "The solution is portable." "The solution has been implemented." "And it comes in three delicious flavors." "Five Pebbsi: Triple Affirmative" "..." "Would you like to try a sample?..." Five Pebbles then kills all players in the room with them.
Subterranean
- Upon entering any room, the lighting slowly gets darker until it is pitch black.
- Has a much higher quantity and quality of enemies, most of which are Spitter Spiders and Red Centipedes.
Depths
- Has no changes aside from the ascension cutscene.
Submerged Superstructure
- No changes aside from 3 Inv-exclusive Developer Commentary nodes if the player has Developer Commentary nodes enabled.

Ending
This section describes the non-dialogue aspects of the ending. To see the dialogue, go to Dating Sim/Dialogue. If the player manages to ascend with Inv, after the final cutscene fades out, they are met with a Dating Simulator. It presents several different options below some descriptive text. Inv themself is shown on the left, having several different unique sprites. All of the endings involve a different Limakkato from the More Slugcats Expansion.
- If the player goes north, Inv meets Lancmajstro.
- If the player goes east, Inv meets Riveruleto and Looks to the Moon.
- If the player goes west, Inv meets Gustumanto.
- If the player goes south, Inv meets Artifikisto.
- If the player goes down, Inv meets Sanktulo.
- All non-failure endings involve the egg being cracked.
Trivia
- Inv has many different names from both the community and developers.
- Enot is the name generally used by their creators and the in-game files.
- Inv is the name used in official merchandise and occasionally in the in-game files.
- Sofanthiel is a reference to a meme in the MSC Discord, as well as the origins of Inv.

- Sofanthiel is the first name Looks to the Moon suggests when she realizes they don't have one.
- Gorbo is the second name Looks to the Moon suggests after Ruffles vetoes the name Sofanthiel.
- Paincat is the name used by the Dev Commentary mode.
- Paincat is the name used on the Speedrun.com leaderboard, coined by speedrunner ICED.

- Although non-canon, the internal timeline places Inv's campaign between those of Artifikisto and Ĉasisto. However, Hunter Long Legs can still appear in Inv's campaign.
- Inv's versions of Five Pebbles and Submerged Superstructure are tied for the most Bubble Weed in any region at 25.
- Inv cannot be selected as a character for anything but their single-player campaign. Once Inv is enabled, however, Slugpups spawned in Arena Mode have relevant changes.
- However, Inv's world can be selected for Safari Mode, so long as the player has slept in a relevant area's Shelter as Inv.
- Inv is the only Slugcat with custom art for their death screen.
