Silent Construct is a region exclusive to the Downpour DLC, with Saint being the only Slugcat that can access it. It is the decrepit and decayed remnants of
Five Pebbles and
Shaded Citadel amalgamated together, being the aftermath of the superstructures' collapse. In contrast with it's past iterations, it lacks any mobile cysts, excluding few
Brother Long Legs.
Overview[edit | edit source]
The Silent Construct is the decayed remains of Five Pebbles, long since fallen after having been completely consumed by
the Rot, with most of his machinery silent and dead. After his collapse, his superstructure crushed the
Shaded Citadel, destroying most of it and causing the region to become an amalgam of tight passages, half-submerged rooms, and vertical climbs. The background of the Silent Construct is crossed by many giant jutting pieces of rebar, remnants of both structures' collapses, and cyan flora grows in the outdoor areas.
The Rot's presence has been diminished heavily, now only a few scattered Brother Long Legs and various background effects. It additionally appears as various inactive, bulging Proto Daddy Long Legs, long since having deceased in the aftermath of the collapse. As such, various creatures flourish in the remnants of the superstructure, otherwise unimpeded.

Points of Interest[edit | edit source]
Subregions[edit | edit source]
Frosted Cathedral[edit | edit source]
These cold ruins are all that remains of the Shaded Citadel. Light reaches the once-dark halls, and Coalescipedes are no longer found in it, but
Big Spiders and
Spitter Spiders are still present. What remains are compact caverns, towering vertical spaces, and linear bridges across pits.
Flashbangs can occasionally be encountered in the more dimly lit areas, allowing for defence against any photosensitive foes such as
Miros Birds.
The Husk[edit | edit source]
The Husk is what remains of Five Pebbles' superstructure, which broke into pieces when it hit the surface. Even the Rot is dying; only a few active cysts and Brother Long Legs remain. However, a variety of creatures now roam the area, such as the
Lizards that lived in the Exterior and the
Lantern Mice,
Coalescipedes and
Centipedes that survived the
Shaded Citadel's destruction. The Husk consists of various, cavern-like areas, accommodated by the remnants of chambers and vents, sparsely illuminated by scarlet lighting across the walling. Some areas are partially submerged, requiring them to be swam through.
More linear areas are accommodated by the surviving Miros Birds from the Memory Crypts, with their packs in far smaller quantities. They can be avoided via the various crawlspaces and tunnels beneath the terrain, or alternatively
Flashbangs.
Five Pebbles[edit | edit source]
Five Pebbles' chamber still stands despite the ravages of time. His mind barely active and his cloak ragged, the only thing he has left by this point is his music pearl, even its contents distorted by entropy. The chamber is unrecognizable, as a portion of it is exposed to the wrath of the snowfall and blizzard, coated with snow and debris. No
Neuron Flies are present in the room, supposedly localised far from Five Pebbles himself.
The chamber is located at the upper right of the region.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Silent Construct has the acronym CL in game files, which stands for Collapse.
- The state of the Rot by the Saint's time suggests that it cannot survive on its own if the correct conditions of an Iterator's superstructure are unavailable, degrading and ultimately becoming inactive.
