Sky Islands is a challenging region made up of decayed and broken mechanical structures high above the ground. The region is optional but is commonly visited in the lategame when playing as Monk and
Survivor. It is the starting region of
Saint.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Sky Islands is a largely aerial region, with open-air rooms and wide gaps to cross. Most rooms in this region have deathpits, making falling whilst platforming a common hazard. Some especially wide gaps require holding and jumping with a Squidcada to cross. Common threats include
Vultures,
White Lizards,
Yellow Lizards and
Centiwings, which are unique to the area. This region is considered one of the most challenging for first time visitors due to its hard platforming, risk of falling and variety of threatening creatures.

Tips[edit | edit source]
- The section to the left of Communications Array, which connects the two halves of the region, features jumps that are too long for the player to complete under normal circumstances. The area before these jumps is full of
Squidcadas, which can help the player traverse the area.
- If traveling from the other direction (i.e. coming from the Shelter on the left most part of the map) the area can be crossed by performing an extended crouch jump.
- Background-climbing
Lizards in Sky Islands can easily be made to fall to their death by hitting them with
Rubbish. This can also cause said lizards to lineage.

Subregions[edit | edit source]
Communications Array is a subregion located high above Sky Islands, reaching up into the clouds. At the highest point of the region, there is a navy colored Pearl.
Scavengers,
White Lizards, and
Vultures are able to travel to this subregion. As
Hunter,
King Vultures can also access this area. The room at the very top of Communications Array only drizzles nonlethal rain at the end of the cycle, making it possible to survive there indefinitely. For the
Spearmaster, this room also contains two communication logs as well as the final destination for their standard campaign. There are however no
Shelters in which to hibernate.
