Mother typo
So in the mother acheivment, it says you can find slugpups as gourmand, surv, and hunter. This is not true. You cannot find slugpups as hunter. Monk is also missing from this section, as it can find slugpups. Bent is broken (talk) 13:33, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Really, monk can find them? I don't play monk often so I wouldn't know, but from the slugtree ending (which has no slugpup variation) i assumed that because monk doesn't have pups displayed there, they can't find them. - Others have found slugpups as Hunter, and I wouldn't be surprised if Monk could find slugpups. Although I can see why people would think Hunter wouldn't be able to find any: Hunter being able to find slugpups somewhat disproves the theories of Gourmand's food quest being the main event that leads to the slugcats migrating and pups getting lost. I've seen multiple recordings of other people playing the Hunter campaign and encountering them. Although their games could have been modded or altered in some way to allow for slugpups to spawn, which does lead to a lot of confusion when editing the wiki. I'd suggest speaking to a few other people before editing the wiki to say Hunter cannot encounter slugpups, or any other slugcat being unable or able to encounter a certain creature, as their AI and spawning factors can combine to make it not guaranteed to occur for every playthrough. I've had to restart my survivor file multiple times to find slugpups, you might just be getting unlucky. Scavsarecool (talk) 16:24, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- I think the best way would be to look at the code, since usually that leaves no question. However, since there are pupspawnchances defined for every slugcat, I'm not sure I trust the code on this one. I'll have a play through my monk campaign and see. Gryfall (talk) 07:17, 19 April 2023 (UTC)

- This is false. You can absolutely find pups as hunter, just because you haven't doesn't mean it can't happen. Monk is excluded from having pups. The bits of the wiki that state monk can find slugpups are incorrect. If you have a source on monk being able to find slugpups please do share, it has to be more than "someone told me" though.
